Spring Is Here and Time For Baseball

All teams players are reporting to camp now after pitchers and catchers did last

week. This is very important since hopefully the steroid investigation is on hold for the time being and everyone can look forward to there favorite teams getting ready for the season

In NY there is a new manager for the Yankees in Joe Girardi and a new starting pitcher for the Mets in Johann Santana

Arod got his big contract and the Yankees got Posada and Rivera back. Girardi has some young pitchers to look after and nurture in Chamberlin , Kennedy and Hughes who are all about 22 yrs old

The Mets should be in another dogfight with the Phillies right down to the end

This is what makes drama and rooting for your favorite team is all about

Springtime Gardening And The Basics

Spring Is the time to get ready for all Ones Planting Needs. We will start by making a list of things we will need after the tilling is done and we have added any needed nutrients to the soil to improve the PH
Our list should be started with things we always plant and like such as Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and squash
Each year I then decide what didnt grow so well last year and do I want to gve it a try for another year
Sometimes One might have trouble with broccoli so they decide to try cauliflower instead
They didnt have a certain pepper do well so choose another variety,Maybe its spinach instead of
swiss chard
Whatever it may be there are enough varieties to choose from

Doomsday For Clemons

WASHINGTON - Roger Clemens told Yankees teammate Andy Pettitte nearly 10 years ago that he used human growth hormone, Pettitte said in a sworn affidavit to Congress,

Pettitte disclosed the conversation to the congressional committee holding Wednesday's hearing on drug use in baseball, a person familiar with the affidavit said. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the document had not been made public.
According to the person familiar with the affidavit, who said it was signed Friday night, Pettitte also said Clemens backtracked when the subject of HGH came up again in conversation in 2005, before the same House committee held the first hearing on steroids in baseball.
Pettitte said in the affidavit that he asked Clemens in 2005 what he would do if asked about performance-enhancing substances, given his admission years earlier. According to the account told to the AP, the affidavit said Clemens responded by saying Pettitte misunderstood the previous exchange in 1999 or 2000 and that, in fact, Clemens had been talking about HGH use by his wife in the original conversation.
"We don't know what Andy said," Clemens' lead lawyer, Rusty Hardin, said in a statement e-mailed to the AP by his spokesman. "We look forward to hearing tomorrow."
The existence of the affidavit first was reported by The New York Times. The details of its contents were first reported by the AP.
The news came on the eve of Clemens' much-anticipated appearance to testify before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. His former personal trainer, Brian McNamee, is Wednesday's other main witness. McNamee told baseball investigator George Mitchell that he injected Clemens with steroids and HGH at least 16 times from 1998 to 2001. Clemens repeatedly has denied those allegations, including, he said, under oath in a deposition last week.
Pettitte also sat for a deposition at the beginning of last week, and had been scheduled to testify at the hearing. But he asked the committee to allow him to give an affidavit instead of appearing at the hearing, the person familiar with the document said. Pettitte was dropped from the witness list Monday.
McNamee also accused Pettitte of using HGH, and after the Mitchell Report's release in December, Pettitte acknowledged that he did.

New York Primaries Are A Disgrace

Twenty Percent of Republicans and 33% of Democrats Voted in last Tuesdays

primaries. It is a right of every american to vote so this is a disgrace when most people dont give a damm anymore

Oh One might say "I only want to vote in the Fall" but what happens if your person isnt there in the fall

Then What? That person probably wont go to vote. This has been the attitude of Americans for

to long now The only reason the results were as high as they were is because of young peoples

turnout this year

They send soldiers all over the world to fight when maybe they wouldnt if people just would vote

because the polls say the majority of people dont want us in Iraq. But if people dont vote then the politicians in charge cant be taken out of office

Americans should be embarrassed that this is happening. So now will they vote in November?

time will tell they probably wont and that is a disgrace

NBA Basketball and the NY Knicks

The Knicks lost a heart breaker last night to San Antonio but it wasnt from a lack of effort THE 3 POINTER AT THE END OF REGULATION by Mike Finley sent it to overtime
It was a decoy play that was set up and the Knicks didnt defend it. Before the 3 pointer it looked like the Knicks had beat the defending champs Spurs
But as there season has gone it wasnt to be, Isiah Thomas and the Knicls lost in overtime

This picture shows all You have to be able to defend in the NBA in order to win and the other one shows frustration on the Knicks part, They dont have time to dwell on defeat because they go to Milwakee to play Bucks tonight
Tonights another night in he world of the NBA

Do you Have what It Takes To be an Entreprennier

Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?
Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
Author of "Dotcomology - The Science of Making Money Online"

These days, it seems like everyone wants to work
from home and make money on the Internet. But
before you even turn on your computer, the first
question you have to ask yourself is whether
you’re cut out for this kind of work.

The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t
for everyone. Some people like the commute. They
really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what
to do, and they like the routine of working
nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can
barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think
they’re nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are
concerned about the risk of starting up their own
business. They’re not sure it’s worth the
investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running
their own company. They wonder if there is
another way to escape the rat race.

I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or
wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you
her condo. Or maybe you could sit down with a pen
and paper and draw the blueprint for "The Next
Big Thing". Anything can happen... Right?

For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t
happen without effort. It didn’t happen without
at least some initial investment of both time and
money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now
without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my
business makes. If you’re prepared to give an
e-business the time, the work and the money it
needs to get started and get growing, it can
happen for you too.

What Everyone needs to know about Workmans compensation

Author Gerald Sherwood

What Everyone Needs To Know About Workers Compensation

If you’re getting into small business entrepreneurship for the first time, you’ll need to know the
ins and outs of the Worker’s Compensation program. This program is available and mandatory for
most businesses to carry in the event that one of their workers is hurt on the job. In these
instances, it falls to the business to pay the medical bills, and without Worker’s Compensation,
just one incident could be enough to sink a new company. The Worker’s Compensation insurance
not only covers the cost of trips to the hospital, but follow up doctor’s appointments, prescription
drugs, and even surgeries that may be called for in the event of an accident. Though Worker’s
Compensation can be costly, it is there to protect the small business owner from lawsuits. If an
employee signs on with Worker’s Comp (which you should provide and make mandatory for all
your workers), he essentially waives his right to bring legal action in the event of an accident.

The Worker’s Compensation program was started in the early years of the twentieth century when
work related lawsuits were getting out of hand. Enormous settlements, far exceeding what was
required for medical expense, were being handed out as punishments to companies for failing to
provide safe work environments. Not only was this disastrous for small businessmen, but it
usually resulted in workers being fired and even blacklisted in some instances from the industries
they used to make a living.

Of course, the current system of Worker’s Compensation has more than its share of detractors.
These people argue that the mandatory program provides another reason for larger corporations
to outsource much of their work to offshore factories in order to avoid both the chances for
lawsuits and the program’s premiums. Others argue that these corporations will find reasons
anywhere to hire cheap labor from other countries, and the Worker’s Comp reason is just another
excuse. On the other hand, even small business owners have their problems with the system, and
some of them argue that the premiums are too high and make it difficult for new businesses to hire
a workforce at a reasonable salary.

There are also increased movements toward privatizing Worker’s Compensation, rather than
having it available through the government. Already a couple of states have adopted private funds
for Worker’s Compensation insurance, which has lowered the cost of premiums and given in turn
better care for the workers themselves. While some insist that a program this important should be
left in the hands of the state governments, others disagree, pointing to examples where
competition based insurance programs provide the best of both worlds to both employees and

Whether the future provides for a continuation of the trend in privatization or a full scale reform
of the system as a government program, Worker’s Compensation is not going anywhere. If you
are starting your own business, familiarize yourself with the requirements for your district and
state and make sure to budget accordingly. There are sometimes differing levels of insurance
depending on inspections of your workplace and the nature of your business, so take advantage of
any programs you can use to keep costs low.

Start A Professional Home Based Business

A professional home based business is one that provides excellent customer service, quality products and services, and is easy to find online. Through a carefully executed marketing campaign, you will be able to find groups that have a need for your services. In order to become a professional home based business, you need to create a website that is easy to navigate, offers plenty of information, and one that can be found online. You should plan to update your website each month offering new products and services, adding interesting articles related to your business, or changing the look of the website in order to attract more people.

Once you've proven yourself to those who purchase items from your website, you will build a reputation and others will want to try your products as well. Work-of-mouth advertising is still very important when running a successful business. This is why providing quality customer service is important. Be prepared to answer email questions and complaints each day so people are not kept waiting for answers. You should notify customers on your mailing list of new products and services at least twice a year. If possible, create a monthly or bi-monthly newsletter that includes information your customers want to know. This can include industry news, recent product changes, and other information.

Investing in the right software for your home office is another way to build a professional home based business. Depending on what you plan on selling, you may need to track orders after shipping them, collect email addresses and other information from clients, and maintain accurate financial records. Most software can be purchased in computer stores or online. Make sure you have enough memory on your computer before installing multiple programs. Computer file maintenance should be done monthly in order to retain valuable information and maintain accurate records at all times.

Once you've created a home office, you can begin focusing on building a business. If you are still unsure about which online business venture to pursue, you should conduct research, read books and other materials, and consider your own skills and passions as they may lead to business ideas. Creating a list of possible business ideas will help you decide which ones will be the easiest to market. Depending on the products and services you wish to sell, there may only be select groups willing to purchase them. This could limit the amount you earn.
A successful home business is one that is carefully researched before becoming a reality. If you don't take the time to research and find markets for your products, then you may be disappointed with the results. Choose a product that appeals to different groups and your profits will increase. Many people run successful home based businesses from their homes and enjoy the freedom working from home can bring. If you are looking for a way to spend more time with your family, pursuing other goals, or you want to be your own boss, then starting a home based business may be for you.

Marketing a New Blog

(Business for Home Marketers)
Copyright © Gerald Sherwood

There are many online business opportunities for you to try if you want to work from home. Over the years, the Internet has become a valuable tool for consumers and those looking for information. Depending on your interests, skills, and knowledge of online sales, you can start a business selling one product or service, or many products and services. Most online businesses are also very cost effective. All you need is a computer with Internet connection, website, and shipping supplies if sending products to consumer's homes or offices.

When you first start your business, you will need to learn about the many ways to market your product or service. While building a website is a great place to start, because there are millions of sites online, you need to find ways to stand out and draw visitors to your site. Advertising online is the best way to do so. Building a customer list is another way to reach people. By sending periodic email reminding people that your products and services are available, you will increase sales and build a solid customer base. This will help you build a good reputation online as well.

If you are new to online sales, there are many books, guides, and other items you can read in order to learn more. Keep in mind that many successful online business owners do not have pay much to advertise their websites. They rely on customer email lists, creating blogs, submitting articles to databases, writing press releases, and answering questions on open forum sites. Print advertising is also important – so be sure to take an ad out in local newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals. Include your web address and contact info and watch your sales increase.

Another way to bring in business is to attend conferences, social gatherings, trade shows, and networking functions. Not only will you be able to meet potential customers, you will also meet other online business owners. This can help you increase your exposure because you may be able to swap links and advertise on each other's sites. While you can always pay to advertise on search engine result pages, as you can see, there are many ways to save money and still get your business out there.

As you learn more about online business, you may decide that one business is not enough. Some online business owner's run two or three online businesses if they have the time. Depending on your financial goals, you may need to start one or more businesses. Many times, these businesses are similar in nature and rely on the same marketing strategies. When running more than one business, it is important to keep things as simple as possible. Make sure you create simple websites, sell products digitally if possible to avoid having to physically ships products each day, and maintain separate files so you can offer quality customer service, maintain accurate earnings records, and manage your businesses easily. Once you become an online business owner, you will wonder why you didn’t start much sooner.
